I am Sarah Liptrott, a qualified Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
I bring extensive experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, mental health conditions—including dementia and Personality Disorders—acquired brain injuries, and physical disabilities.
I have over a decade of experience working within various Local Authorities, as well as experience as a Case Manager, Independent Mental Capacity assessor and Independent Social Worker.
With a strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Mental Health Act 1983, I am committed to upholding the principles and values embedded within these frameworks in all aspects of my work.
I am deeply passionate about advocating for individuals with care and support needs. My aim is to empower those who may find decision-making difficult by involving them as much as possible in the process and ensuring that their rights are respected and upheld at every stage of their lives.
Beyond my professional life, I am an avid animal lover, sharing my home with cats, a dog, and a couple of goldfish. I also enjoy gardening at my allotment, where I often find that the peaceful setting—among flowers, birds, and my four chickens—can be just as conducive to meaningful conversations as a living room with a cup of coffee.
